Jathiyah Muhammad, a sophomore at Dublin High, won the girls pole vault state title with a 13-9 (4.19m) clearance on her first attempt at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Muhammad prevailed against Scripps Ranch senior Lexi Evans based on fewer misses to secure the first girls state crown in any event for Dublin since 2014.
