Emery Prentice of Vandebilt Catholic High in Lousiana, an LSU signee, and sophomore Jathiyah Muhammad of Dublin High in California, placed fourth and fifth in the girls pole vault final at Nike Outdoor Nationals at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Prentice cleared 13-6.25 (4.12m) on her second attempt and Muhammad achieved a 13-2.25 (4.02m) clearance on her first opportunity to both earn All-America honors. Prentice improved from an eighth-place finish last year at 12-7.50 (3.85m).
